Kambakkht Ishq to premiere at Cannes Film Festival
Sajid Nadiawala’s much-awaited Kambakkht Ishq is all set to be officially premiered at Cannes Film Festival on May 15.
Our desi actors Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor as well as Hollywood stars Sylvester Stallone, Brandon Routh and Denise Richards are likely to show up.
Since the release of the film is uncertain due to the ongoing multiplex strike, screening the movie in Cannes festival seems to be a good idea.
Rumor mills suggest that the makers of the film are planning to cut down the running time of the film and dub it in English for a proper release.
Considering the success of Slumdog Millionaire, Sajid is apparently targeting the international audience.
UTV Motion Pictures‘ forthcoming film Hook Ya Crook is a film that has cricket as the backdrop.The film, directed by comedy king David Dhawan, has John Abraham, Genelia D’Souza, Kay Kay Menon and Shreyas Talpade in lead roles.
The film is set in a prison and revolves around a cricket match played among the inmates.
John Abraham goes international with Andy Armstrong’s American Empire
John Abraham is all set to venture into international cinema with a gangster flick, American Empire.
Abraham, who earlier earned rave reviews in the Deepa Mehta’s Oscar nominated film Water, is currently reading the script of the film.
“I am pretty excited about the film! Right now, I am reading the script and dwelling into the details of my character. I am really glad to be a part of it,” Abraham told media.
The actor, however, did not disclose much about his role in the film, which reportedly, revolves around a young woman and her hit man boyfriend.
And yes, our very own Rock On!! dude, Arjun Rampal, also has a significant role in the project!
The gangster drama will be directed by director Andy Armstrong, who last made TV series The New Adventures of Robin Hood. Armstrong will portray a bizarre picture of underworld, with eccentric characters, angst and violence.
